Spring Equinox Effect on the Nervous System

A guided somatic exercise to sense equilibrium, energy shifts, and rhythm during the spring equinox

Spring Equinox Effect on the Nervous System

The spring equinox marks a natural balance: day and night are nearly equal

Many people experience this as subtle shifts in energy, mood, or attention. Some feel expansive and awake, others restless or fatigued.

The deeper insight is not in calendars or astrology. It is that the nervous system responds to environmental rhythm, and the body benefits when these rhythms are honored.

This practice explores how to tune into your nervous system during seasonal transition, restore equilibrium, and support energy flow. It draws on principles of Ayurvedic Ritucharya, the ancient practice of aligning lifestyle and diet with the rhythms of nature to balance Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas.

It is self paced, experiential, and designed for your nervous system, not for schedules or external expectations.

This article is a self paced somatic exercise. It is practice based, not informational. Nothing here requires completion, interaction, or performance. You can move through it in parts, return later, or stop at any point.

If you are new here and want to orient yourself before making a financial commitment, there is a separate article database on my Substack that is available without subscription. Those articles are for context, reflection, and understanding. The practice based pieces are intentionally held here.

You are welcome to take your time deciding what kind of engagement feels right.

If you notice subtle shifts in energy, restlessness, or a sense of imbalance, that is your nervous system signaling the seasonal change. This practice is not about fixing or forcing balance. It is about noticing, supporting, and aligning with natural rhythms.

If that kind of careful, somatic attunement feels supportive today, you are welcome to continue.
