The heat turned up and so did the clarity.

This season welcomed me into the rooms I once only dreamed of—government contracts, healing work with veterans, and the kind of aligned mentorship and mastermind I’ve always craved. From being at the same VA where I held my father’s hand as he transitioned, to returning now as a certified yoga therapist on contract… the spiral path is real.

It’s all coming together. And this season, I’m letting it land. Let’s flow through it together.

🪖 From Grief to Government: Serving Veterans with Heart

It’s official—I’ve joined the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as the yoga therapist for VISN 16. (Houston, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi.

Synchronically, The VA facility in West Los Angeleswhere I underwent background checks and fingerprinting is the same one where I once walked one of the longest corridor of my life—to witness my father’s last breath. That memory used to ache. Now it pulses with purpose.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a full-circle initiation. At a young age, I’ve been trusted to bring trauma-informed yoga therapy into a federal institution. And this is just the beginning. My entry into government contracting is a door that many of us don’t know we’re allowed to open—but I’m walking through and holding it open behind me.

To serve those who have served… that’s legacy. And it’s in my bones.

Bhramari Pranayama (Humming Bee Breath)

When the nervous system is frayed, and the mind won’t stop spinning—Bhramari is the call home.

This ancient practice uses humming to reset your whole frequency. Here's why I teach it:

🌼 Benefits

  • Calms anxiety

  • Clears tension

  • Stimulates the pineal + pituitary glands

  • Strengthens the voice

  • Enhances sleep and mental focus

🌬️ How to Practice

  1. Sit upright, comfortably.

  2. Close your ears with thumbs, place fingertips gently over forehead and nose.

  3. Inhale deeply through the nose.

  4. Drop the chin and exhale with a steady “hummmmmm…”

  5. Feel the vibration in your head and heart.

  6. Repeat 7 times.

Allow your awareness to melt into the sound. Let the hum carry you into stillness. Find which finger placement helps you relax your shoulders the most.

Contraindications: Avoid during pregnancy, menstruation, or with high BP, epilepsy, ear infections.

🔁 Build up from 7 to 17 repetitions over time. Practice in the quiet mornings or evenings for best effect.
